About Me
I am a creative, life-long learner who loves what I do! My approach to therapy is informed by a belief that we all contain the capacity to create a meaningful life.
I bring a decade of experience working as a mental health professional in a variety of settings including crisis response, outpatient mental health, college counseling centers and schools. I have a depth of knowledge about navigating educational systems in the Chicago area, which allows me to offer specialized support for school avoidance and anxiety.
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Illinois who also holds a Professional Educators License (PEL) in School Counseling.
My Approach
My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, relational and depth-oriented. With creativity and warmth, we will explore the patterns, identities, and experiences that have contributed to who you are. I prioritize understanding what is most important to inform goals for therapy. I draw from evidence-based practices including Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness.
